Arranged for electric guitar. Best enjoyed at low volume while laying in bed.

// Golden Sphere //

An old track that was originally made up of one very long improvisational piece that I made back in 2013. I remember having some time in the morning before hanging out with some friends and decided to perform an improv session while having the last part of Andrei Tarkovsky's 'Stalker' playing in my room. I had my Gibson Firebird playing through various effects (occasionally using an ebow) while hooked up to my dad's old Rickenbacker RG7 24watt amp. Room hum included.

All sounds were captured on my iPhone 4S.

Recorded at Der Goldene Löwe, Fairland, Indiana on March 10th, 2013.

I love how the organic squeals and squeaks over the drones in the final track snap me out of the trance the rest of the album put me into. Wonderful use of strings. The melodies at the tracks end are well earned. Great use of tension and release. johnpenola
